Cred is investigating social infrastructure needs within the Frenchs Forest Planned Precinct.

In October 2012, the State Government identified the Northern Beaches Hospital site, together with the roadway at the intersection of Warringah Road and Wakehurst Parkway, as a State Significant Infrastructure site. Construction of the new hospital commenced in 2015 and the new hospital is scheduled for completion in 2018. The new hospital will employ 1300 staff and provide 488 hospital beds and a 1400 space multi-storey car park.

The draft Northern District Plan identifies Frenchs Forest as a Strategic Centre and future health and education ‘super precinct’. The emerging Northern Beaches Hospital and $500m investment in improved transport links will be a catalyst for revitalisation and creating new homes and jobs in the area.
