Social and Economic Benefits of Student Housing Research Study
University of Sydney
We are completing a research study for the University of Sydney into the social and economic benefits of student housing. Local planning controls do not yet specifically cater to student housing, providing only for boarding house or residential accommodation, neither of which are fully applicable to new style student accommodation developments. The study methodology will include analysis of the private and student rental housing market and national and international student accommodation precedents including best practice student accommodation and planning controls, and identify the the community benefits of social housing including the supply of affordable housing.
